Online Audience Survey

As you all know, we are going through a lot of exciting changes right now. In order to help us continue to grow and continue to bring you the high quality professional theatre that you have come to expect, we wanted to ask you a few questions.

At the end of this post you will find a link to a survey – a survey that will help us focus our efforts to communicate and engage with our community. The survey itself should only take 5-10 minutes, but the insight you will give us will last much longer. We hope that you’ll take a couple of minutes to weigh in.

If you already took a paper survey at Julius Caesar or Bad Dates, or if you received this link in a similar email, we already have your responses. But if you haven’t completed a paper survey, now would be the perfect time to let us know what you think.

Thank you so much for your time and input.

We’ll see you at the theatre!

Keepin’ On

Well, The Distracted Globe closed their production of Much Ado About Nothing this weekend to several great audiences.  They also performed some pretty crazed improv at the expense of Macbeth, which was a lot of fun.  Thanks for coming out to support them!  And make sure to stay tuned in for July when The Distracted Globe presents Hay Fever by Noel Coward and The Upstate Shakespeare Festival presents As You Like It.

And, stay tuned to this very blog… as it will soon have more than one voice behind the blog!

New Beginnings

Well, The Upstate Shakespeare Festival has already closed their first show of the summer, King Lear.  The Distracted Globe has one more weekend of their first summer show, Much Ado About Nothing.  And both of those groups are gearing up this week for the next big thing.  Yup.  Yesterday was the first read through for The Upstate Shakespeare Festival’s As You Like It, and tonight is the first read through for The Distracted Globe’s Hay Fever by Noel Coward.  Top it off with two nights of improv by The Midnight Hags (The Female Hemisphere of The Distracted Globe) this weekend… and we’ve got some busy theatre people around The Warehouse!  So, if you haven’t seen Much Ado yet, make sure to come down this weekend.  And if you come Friday or Saturday, you can stay late for Suddenly Macbeth - The Distracted Globe’s improv comedy take on Shakespeare’s most Scottish tragedy.  And then, make sure to come out in July for Hay Fever and As You Like It.

And before you know it, we’ll be opening The Warehouse Mainstage season with Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune.

All good things!

Opening TOMORROW!

Resident Company The Distracted Globe is opening their production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing TOMORROW NIGHT!  The show runs June 14-16 & 21-23 @ 8:00, with matinees June 17 & 24 @ 3:00.  Tickets are only $5!  Less than the price of a movie - not bad, eh?  And there will be a free talkback with the cast and director following the June 17th matinee - so we’ll see you soon!

And make sure to check out their YouTube channel for some rehearsal snippets before you come to see the finished product!

More to Come!

Well, The Upstate Shakespeare Festival’s production of King Lear closed this weekend.  I hope you caught it!  And make sure to make plans to come back in July for their production of the delightful comedy As You Like It (playing July 26-August 19).

But make sure to come back THIS WEEK or NEXT WEEK to The Warehouse Theatre for The Distracted Globe’s production of Much Ado About Nothing.  Opening Thursday June 14 and playing through Sunday June 24th.  Tickets are only $5 - and… here’s some new info… we’ll be offering a FREE talkback with the cast and director following the Sunday, June 17th matinee performance.  The talkback will be led by Johnny Price from The Caleb Group.  He always makes sure we have an informative, fun, and sometimes outrageous time!

So hopefully we’ll see you soon!  And hey… let The Distracted Blog… or a little YouTube… tide you over in the meanwhile:

Keeping Busy

Big news this week at The Warehouse.  We are thrilled to announce that our new Artistic/Executive Director is officially on the premises!  That’s right!  Paul Savas is in town and reporting for duty.  He’s hitting the ground running and has a lot of exciting plans for this season, so keep your eyes on him!  And in the meanwhile, feel free to drop in, say hi, maybe bring him a cake or a casserole.  Whatever.

Also, we are approaching the last weekend of The Upstate Shakespeare Festival’s production of King Lear in Falls Park on the Reedy.  The final performances are this Thursday-Sunday at 7:00.  After June 10th… no more Lear!  So grab a blanket, pack a picnic and come on down!  You don’t want to miss this!

Up the hill inside the theatre, The Distracted Globe is in the home stretch toward opening their production of Much Ado About Nothing.  Make sure to check up on their progress by visiting The Distracted Blog or their YouTube channel… and then come see the finished product Thursday-Sunday June 14-24.
