It’s finally happened!

Yes, I have posted my first blog! Yahoo! The J’s are busy little bees with the Wooden O and rehearsals for Reckless.  So far, Reckless has been the most hiLARious rehearsals I’ve ever been a part of. Basically, Lloyd is the part Ryd was destined to play. "WHAT?! I can’t hear you!" In additional news, the Warehouse has a new Journeyman daycare, a quiet place where tired Journeymen may rest their weary heads and snore in private. On tonight’s agenda, a line-thru of R+J. Note to self: It puts the hand upon its cheek or else it gets the hose again!

MAN, OH MANN!

Word.

This week’s residency is nearing completion.  Tomorrow we have a performance of Romeo and Juliet for 9 classes of around thirty kids at J.L. Mann High School.  We’ve been one man down this week with Jason staying at the theater to prepare for Eliza Jane, but he’ll be back in action with us tomorrow.  I think Lauren, Nick, and Jenn would agree that we really enjoyed this week.  The students really seemed to respond well to the material and grasp what we were trying to teach.  We were all saying today how much we enjoy teaching and that we feel that we’ve gotten better at it.  Its weeks like these that we really feel like we’re making an impact on some of these kids… hopefully!  Anyway… off I go to go over lines for tomorrow’s performance.

I wouldn’t want to say anything crazy like, “And lips oh you the doors of breathe seal with a dateless bargain a righteous kiss to engrossing death.”  That just doesn’t make sense!!
