I’m curious what people will think when they see that Anne’s diary entry from January 5th 1944 is part of this adaptation. One of the reasons that I like this adaptation over the original script is that this one includes some of the entries and themes that the first script avoided becasue of such closeness to the actual events. This script is also a more complete theatrical experience…Kesselman has made the structure of the play, how the story is told and how the dramatic action unfolds, much more in line with our contemporary sensibilities. And she added the entry from 1/5/44.
